Happy fall, ya’ll! I’m trying something new in October. I will of course always be your girl for your book fix (#booknerd forever). But, now I’ll also be sharing with you my monthly “bucket list.” This list will include what I want to read, learn, listen to, watch, and wear each month. Our soThis October book club pick is Trust is by Hernan Diaz. I don’t want to call it too soon, but this mind-bender of a book could be the best one I have read this year. I had no idea where it was going and I was totally along for the ride. I’m also so psyched that the author Hernan Diaz will be joining our book chat at the end of the month. I’m a total podcast junkie. I’m also a total Conan O’Brien superfan, so needless to say I am a devoted listener to Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. I’m currently obsessed with his wife Liza Powel O’Brien’s new podcast Significant Others. It shines a light at people who are behind well-known historical figures. It’s smart and interesting, and I think the episode about Mary Lincoln is my favorite so far. Give a listen and let me know what you think! We will be chatting all about it, too, in our soThis app.

If you have had a conversation with me in the last month, I probably told you that you need to watch Bad Sisters on Apple TV. Full disclosure, I’m obsessed with basically anything Sharon Horgan does. That aside, it’s funny and dark, and you will fall in love with the tight-knit Garvey sisters. It also takes place in Ireland and there is no lack of swoon-worthy views throughout the show. And, hey, U2 fans, Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson is part of the brilliant cast.
Wear
I stole my daughter’s shacket (shirt + jacket) and I have been living in it. It’s the perfect layer for when it’s chilly…and then it’s not. I like to pair it with a sweater + tee, and then when it warms up, I’ll just wrap it around your waist or take it off. Get a super-cute shacket of your own here.
